Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley are excited to partner with United Way BC and the Mamele’awt Community Indigenous Centre to offer three free week-long summer day camps this year!

A day in our summer camp begins with everyone enjoying some breakfast before gathering into a circle where drumming, song, and words from an Elder are shared to help start our day off in a good way!
Each day will include interactive learning lessons and fun indoor/outdoor activities that help to scaffold the teachings from
camp leaders and Knowledge Keepers.
All camp curriculum will focus on our “random acts of kindness” theme infused with the Indigenous teachings of the “Circle of Courage”.
Campers have the opportunity to make art, play sports, and enjoy nourishing food with their peers all while learning important cultural teachings.
Our goals are to help youth enjoy a safe and positive environment where they can learn, play, and grow as individuals!
By the end of the week, we hope that each camper will walk away feeling a deeper appreciation and connection to themselves, the land,
and their community.
